Red Lentil Soup with Cumin

Ingredients
- 2 T. olive oil
- 1 cup diced yellow onions
- 1 cup chopped mushrooms
- 2 cups red lentils
- 6 cups water
- 6 T. vegetarian soup broth powder
- 1 1/2 t. cumin
Directions
- Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and mushrooms and brown.
- In a soup pot add all ingredients and simmer hour
If you prefer, use broth rather than water and powder.
