Raisin Tea
Prep time: About 1 minute
Cooking time: 5 minutes or refrigerate overnight
Makes 3 - 4 servingsIngredients
- 1 cup Raisins
- 4 cups Water
- 1 t. Honey or maple syrup (optional)
Directions
- Boil water in pan and add raisins. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
- Squash raisins against side of pan to release sugar and flavor.
- Add sweetener (optional) and serve into 4 heated coffee cups.
The squashed raisins won't have much taste left but you can eat them.
Another process is to put cold water and raisins in a pot overnight in the refrigerator.
The next day squeeze the flavor from the raisins and serve like iced tea.
