Chick Pea Tomato Sauce

Cooking time: 40 minutes
Preparation time: 5 minutes

Makes: 4 serving



  1. Heat olive oil in a soup pot and saute onion 15 minutes or until browned, stirring frequently.
  2. Add chick peas and canning liquid and simmer 15 minutes. Then partially crush chick peas.
  3. Add tomatoes and canning liquid and bouillon and simmer 10 minutes.

To use as a pasta sauce, add 1 t. dried basil, or,
To use as a sauce over rice, add 1 t. crushed ginger or,
To use as a soup, add 2 cups water.
