Mae's Scotch Shortbread Cookies
Cooking time: About 30 minutes
Prep time: About 10 minutes
Makes: about 20 servings
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 t. colored sugar
- Blend first 3 ingredients by hand, and push into bottom of 9" square pan. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares or triangles. Sprinkle top with colored sugar.
- Bake 30 minutes in 325 deg. oven. Cut cookies again before they cool.
