Prep time: About 10 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour
Makes: 4-6 servings
- 1 lb. lean ground beef (10% fat)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1/4 cup chopped yellow onions (optional)
- Using your hands, mix all ingredients well. Form into a loaf.
- Place loaf in baking pan
(near one side so you can get a spatula under the loaf to lift it out when done).
- Bake 1 hour at 375 deg. F.
This recipe has been used in my wife's family for many years.
